  • The Department of Microbiology has been recognized as the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for Tuberculosis by the Central TB Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The department is facilitated with state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies for detection of drug resistant tuberculosis. The department offers rapid diagnostic services for drug resistant tuberculosis by Cartridge Based Nucleic Acid Test, Line Probe Assay and liquid Culture system. As NRL, the department also carries out various supervisory activities for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgargh, Jharkhand and Goa states.
  • Integrated counseling and testing centre (ICTC) for diagnosis and counseling for HIV infection / AIDS.
