Mental Disorders represent four of the leading causes of disability worldwide and account for approximately 12% of the global burden of disease. The Department of Psychiatry was started at BMHRC in November 2001, keeping the ever-increasing need for quality mental health care in India in mind. The department is on par with the best in the country, and offers high quality mental health care.
The staff includes psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and psychiatric social worker, all together offering comprehensive mental health care.
