Pathology

Diagnostic Central Pathology laboratory at BMHRC, was started in July 2000 with a perspective to deliver best possible care for patients. A wide range of investigations necessary for the functioning of all the superspecialty department of the hospital are carried out.

A multitude of specialty departments are available to provide both routine and special diagnostic requirements of the hospital.

The laboratory is equipped with state of the art automated analyzer system in various fields. The laboratory has a well defined quality management system, including a stringent internal quality control programme, as well as participates in the National and International external quality control programme.

 

Training & Research Activities
The department provides short term trainings / project to graduate and Postgraduate students. Training courses for laboratory technician (DMLT) in Pathology is being run with 15 students every year per batch.

Research Studies – Scientific research projects are carried out by the faculty and residents that are approved by Institutional Ethical Committee. Several of the projects have been published in National and International Indexed Medical Journals. Residents actively participate in scientific oral paper and poster publication in National and State level conferences.
