only for regular check up intermittently. We have
evolved a fully functional program for the delivery
of continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis services.
In collaboration with Baxter an independent Peritoneal
Dialysis Counseling Center has also been established
in the ward. Vascular Access Service:
The department has established itself as the
active and competent facility for establishing vascular
access for dialysis patients. We are regularly performing
the following procedures
Kidney biopsy (native and transplant kidney):
- Temporary Dialysis Catheter placement
- Permanent dialysis catheter placement
- AV fistula surgery
This is one of the most useful procedures performed
in Nephrology for diagnosis and management of renal
diseases. We perform this real time under ultrasonographic
guidance on a regular basis.
Kidney Transplant Patients:
We are providing
comprehensive pre & post transplant care to
many transplant recipients in our department. These
are patients who have been transplanted in various
centers across the country.
